France Fans, Let’s Get Ready for Euros!

Hey, France fans. There is less than a month to go before the start of Euro 2008. This means it’s time to start preparing ourselves.

From now through the start of Euros, the France National Team page over at World Cup Blog will be running daily polls about issues affecting the team. Current topic? Given that Eric Abidal is almost certainly the first choice at leftback, who should his backup be? Clichy, Evra, Escude, or…?

  Evra has had a good season, I think one of his best at such level. He is a very important player for Manchester and if he continues that way, I would not be surprised at all to see him in the starting 11 of Les Bleus very soon.

  It must be clichy!

  He was voted left back of the season, played more games this season than any other arsenal player and even towards the end of the season he was still looking as fresh as ever!

  I can’t see why he isn’t first choice?!?

  He is twice the player evra is for sure!
