France in the Champs League

LYON vs. MADRID!
Sounds delicious, doesn’t it? Two of the best in the world going head-to-head in one of the biggest stadiums in the world, in the biggest club competition in the world. Madrid, high as kites as of late, will be on fire, and they will be up against more fire in the French side. My pick: a 1-1 draw.

LILLE vs. ANDERLECHT
Yawn, yes, but a crucial game for both clubs who hope to defy everyone and make it to the next round. Lille look fit to acomplish that, so watch out. Lille over Anderlecht, say 1-0.

BORDEAUX vs. GALATASARAY
Both teams dismal in the first four games vying to at least make it to the UEFA Cup bit. They drew in Matchday 1, 0-0. Look for more of the same. Only this time, 1-1.

As for the UEFA Cup, here’s how it goes down.
Auxerre take on Rangers in the feature game of this matchday.
Lens travels to Denmark to challenge OB.
Nancy goes across the border to Basel for an interesting match.
PSG welcome Haccabi Tel-Aviv for a hopeful take-off.

in fact i’m not very confident for Lyon Real. What i was frightened of happened. Fred, Govou, Benzema,… too much injury. What i ‘m frightened too is to see a key player of lyon inrury or suspended for the quart, like each year. Lyon didn’t reinforce their team with a new very good forward( i don’t know for you, but i think Nilmar is insufficient. Because without Juninho, Fred, Toulalan, it is not the same Lyon.

true, injury is a big factor, but lyon always manages to take everything up a notch in european contention. it also may be just the default bias i have since i hate real madrid.
au fait, avec un nom comme thierry et quand tu t’interesse à la france, tu parles bien sur la langue de molière, juste pour savoir?
