God I hope Chamakh wins best player. Seriously, that’s the last good thing we can give him.

-

Also, I’m a little disappointed Trémoulinas hasn’t been nominated, because he’s been damn good.

-

What about Alou Diarra? Bordeaux basically disintegrates without him. And for young player I vote Samba Sow of Lens.

-

What about best defender? That’s the problem with these awards, too general. How can you just say best player and only see strikers? How about the defenders? The best defenders for me have been Adama Coulibaly (Auxerre) and Allaedine Yahia (Lens).

Deschamps for sure. First year in, he had a mountain of work to do in very little time before the start of the season.
1. Signed some great players to OM:
Lucho Gonzalez
Gabriel Heinze
Souleyman Diawara
Edouard Cisse
Fabrice Abriel
Fernando Morientes
Stephane M’Bia2. Made OM competitive in the Champions League.
Marseille was stuck in the “Group of death” facing the new Galaticos of Real Madrid, and old foes AC Milan once again.
*BTW, Souleyman Diawara’s challenge on Cristiano Ronaldo was 100% legit. Watch the replay and see who was actually playing the ball.
3. DD beat Laurent Blanc’s Bordeaux at the Stade de France to win the Coupe de la Ligue, ending OM’s 17-year trophy drought.
4. Handled problems like a pro from losses, injuries to Mamadou and Lucho, and the ever present fights and mental breakdowns of that perpetual cancer and pedophile Hatem Ben Arfa.
The city of Marseille should rename a park, a plaza, a street, or a high school after Didier Deschamps. He deserves it.

My picks:
Niang: He has been outstanding when fit.
Rene Girard: He has done a phenomenal job at Montpellier.
Hugo Lloris: No doubts there.
Eden Hazard: No doubts here either.
Mamadou Niang: What a dribble & what a shot!

Aditya I agree with all your picks! Lloris definitely edges out all other goal keepers in France. In fact he’s probably in the top 5 in Europe this year.

Is very happy at Fenerbahce Niang says, “to come here, I am very happy to come to Istanbul. I’ll start a new club for next season I am very excited. Fenerbahce, especially efforts to achieve this transfer was. Contributed to, want to thank Fenerbahce officials. I am leaving for the first time in the French league. I wear a different jersey in the league. This is a different thrill for me, “he said.
