Goal Of The Week: Round 16

By: Sam | December 4th, 2007

Twenty-eight goals to choose from, and but three chosen. Pity, pity. But that’s the way it is here for the Goal of the Week, and I’ve got a fresh trio of beauties for you to pick from this week, after Stéphane Brison won last week’s competition. With that all history, here are, in order of the size of the stadium scored in, the candidates for this week’s golden goal.

WENDEL (Bordeaux) was in the right place at the right time to score his second goal of the match on this cracking left-footed volley.

RAFIK SAÏFI (Lorient) pulled a rabbit out of his pants here by getting a deft touch while running, putting a sombrero over the defender and an finishing nicely.

LILIAN LASLANDES (Nice) had little time to react the way he did when he met a floating ball just outside the area with this solid horizontal volley.
