Goals of the season: 2) Christophe Landrin, Saint-Étienne
By: Sam | June 5th, 2007December 16, 2007.
Stade Geoffroy Guichard, Saint-Étienne.
84th minute, vs Valenciennes.
Midfielder Christophe Landrin, having a disappointing until that minute, was first of all part of an extremely well brought-out team effort, with the defenders and midfielders getting perfect touches and keeping the ball at their feet. Diatta played a ball down the side for Feindouno, who spotted Landrin sprinting into the box, and delivered a cross on which Landrin brilliantly scissor-kicked over his head and past Penneteau.

Great. Love the countdown.:) And btw probably you can help me strengthen my Football vocabulary a bit. Is scissor kick synonymous to bicycle kick?

Great goal.
Jan, I’d say that is scissor kick is more like a “Seitfallzieher” in German. Horrible word, I know. Scissor kick is more elegant.
