Matchday 19 - Cissé gets haircut, scores
By: Sam | December 22nd, 2006
Well what, you didn’t expect him to keep the same hair for more than two games, did you? For his third game in bleu et blanc, also his first full contest since coming back from injury, sporting a centimeter-wide, play-doh like mohawk, got off on the right foot by scoring off a corner in the tenth minute in front of delirious supporters at Stade Vélodrome.
Said Cissé (translated from French): For a goal scorer, it’s really makes you feel good to score in Stade Vélodrome in front of of crazy supporters. It was really good and I hope to live moments like that further on. If we keep up this play, there’s going to be some good games and we’ll be liable to have a great second half of the season. I’m here to score goals, and I hope there are more to come. I had a lot of fun, and I hope it continues.
In a heated match between age-old rivals, Marseille got out on top, despite a first half extra-time marker by Czech international Gabriel Heinz for Saint-Étienne. After two tricky saves from Carrasso, the young keeper couldn’t do anything to stop the roofed shot. However on the hour mark, leading scorer Mickaël Pagis nimbly poked the round object into the net on a Taiwo cross.
OM and ASSE are 5th and 3rd respectively, awaiting Sunday’s matches.

He looks like he has a caterpillar crawling down his scalp. Kind of makes you want to slap it.
But I’m glad he scored again, and that he played a full game. I read he got a bit petulant when he was subbed out last week.
Think Domenech will call him up for Argentina in Feb.?
