He won’t play in ANY other french club than marseille. That’s his town, he’s practically god (hear Zidane) there.
And even if he did, never would he be sold to Lyon.
And don’t be so sure that he would be benched in Real Barca or any other team. He’s going to be the starting midfielder this summer for France. Just look at him grow. He can be a starter virtually anywhere if he deides to leave next year.
As for the money thing, he’s set. Marseille is the second richest club in France and if they really want to keep him, Robert Louis-Dreyfus aka SpongeBOB could give him the Ribery treatment with 500.000 euros a month.

erm how wolud it not be possible for a move to lyon or even more likely as roma as i think although he is a good player (obviously) i think teams like real barcelona and chelsea and inter would keep him rooted to the bench until his mid 20’s where as a team like as roma/sevilla/lyon/juve where money is quite plenty full and a garuntee of champs league and a permanent place in the starting 11

I believe that he is going to play on Real Madrid or Juventus like Zidane because he is his heroe, so choosing one of those teams i would choose Juventus they don’t have a player with the game that nasri has, and if you going to say Del piero(33 years) or Nedved(35 years) please think again, and also in Real Madrid he is going to warm up the bench so i hope that Nasri be very wize on his decision.

It’s no secret and no exaggeration that Nasri is in love with Marseille, both the city and the club. His ego is about 2% of Cissé’s and he’s in no hurry to turn away from OM for a handful of dollars. But we’re kidding ourselves if we think he’ll stay as long as he can. Like I said on my podcast bit, if he stays until Euro 2008 and puts on a good show, he’s gone. But with a hefty tag.

Honestly, I don’t think Nasri wants to leave Marseille. And I think he will end up extending his contract (though that doesn’t mean he’ll stay necessarily).

But unless Marseille act like they have some goals for the reason that don’t involved getting into a relegation dogfight like PSG did last year, he might have to leave. He has a spot on the NT to think about too. But I think if OM get their act together and can manage to qualify for the UEFA Cup or at least win one of the domestic cups, he will stay.

He’ll extend his contract because that way, when he leaves, Marseille will get the maximum amount of money they can from him (like what Malouda did at Lyon). Not doing so would significantly lessen Nasri’s transfer fee.

Problem is… What would Nasri do in Madrid or in London? Boot Sneijder, Guti or Baprista out of his favourite attacking midfielder role? Or edge out Fabregas, Hleb or Rosicky? He’s very talented, but he needs a lot of playing time (this season, he’s been injured and even though he’s been back for 3 games, hasn’t done much)… So I’d be dissapointed to see him go sit on the bench in London or Madrid instead of playing in Marseille…

On second thought: it wouldn’t be the worst thing if Nasri moves to Madrid. Maybe this would help to keep Schuster’s fingers of Diego.
