Zidane Has Kids!

By: Corey | September 10th, 2008

I ignore you way to long France Offside, and for that I am sorry. But here is two videos I found the other day, with the great man Zinedine Zidane playing with his children. He has three, Enzo, Luca and Theo. Enzo is currently in the Real Madrid youth system, and I have a video of his exploits as the second video to wow and amaze you.

Well it seems he made the right choice to quit football, because he could possibly release on to the world three more Zidanes, all equally as graceful and skilled. Scarey isnt it! Dont believe me, watch these:

Wow! Really impresive. Anyone see this coming? Lets hope he continues to progress in one of the worlds best academies, and leads France to glory in another 15 years or so when he is actually 26! Later.

I just want to know if they are going to follow in their fathers foot steps and play for France or for Spain?

Hmm, they are French in every way, but Enzo lives in Madrid most of the time. If Theo or Luca joins the academy (I think Luca may have joined) then they would live in Spain for longer then 5 years, meaning they were eligible for Spanish citizenship. Kind of like Messi, who could play for Spain but he chose Argentina.

I adore that first video. My favorite part is when Enzo is picking the teams, and he says something like, “Papi and me against you and Luca. And you get Theo.”

And Luca says, “No, YOU get Theo!”

Brothers are the same the world over. (I wonder if Veronique ever feels outnumbered.)

Also, isn’t Veronique Spanish? At least by descent? I was wondering who they would play for as well.

Enzo likes pushing people over in the first individual video…
But they do all look very skilled.

Enzo seems like a brat. Reminds me of the really talented really spoiled french youngsters (Ben Arfa etc)

Oh, how ironic that would be…

OMG THEO IS SO ADORABLE. I WANT HIM.

I don’t think Enzo being so skilled is that surprising — after all, he can force one of the best players ever to play with him, that’s skill alright (and also if you play with Zizou, of course you’ll learn a thing or two)

Enzo is captain of the Real Madrid Infantil B team. Luca is also in the Real Madrid Youth System – as a goalkeeper in the Benjamin A team. Theo made his footballing debut last year in the Baby Escuela division of the ACD Canillas football team in Madrid (they’re affiliated with Real Madrid) Zizou has a fourth son, Elyaz, who is only 2 years old. As for where they will play if they ever turn pro? only Enzo was born in France, Theo and Elyaz were born in Spain and Luca was born in Italy – but I can’t really see a Zidane playing for Italy…I thought he was public enemy number one there. Anyway, both Enzo and Luca play using both their father and mother’s surnames which is typical in Spanish countries. Enzo is listed as Enzo Alan Zidane Fernandez and Luca is Luca Zinedine Zidane Fernandez.

Corey, zidane has FOUR sons, not three. His fourth son is named Elyas.

MAD, go and spew your anti-French hatred somewhere else. Like on the Italy blogs where everyone indulges in such classy discussion.

This whole thing I find rather funny. Zidane is a Muslim, but yet his sons are named Enzo, Luca, and Theo. Just found that rather amusing. Rant over.

Loved the first video. Heart-warming actually. :) Is that from the “Zidane, un portrait du 21e siècle” movie?

As for Enzo sorry, but his skills have nothing extraordinary so far. He’s got plenty of time to blow us away though.

    I crushed him lol
    Red card for Enzo lol

He has a basketball hoop on top of the net where it is completely covered with turf…
Theo is going to be the better of the three (unless he becomes a defender)
