Goal of the Week: Round 15
By: Sam | November 25th, 2007Never mind the Bollocks, here’s the Goal of the Week! After Aruna Dindane won the last edition with his improbable chip, I’ve got a fresh new batch of crackers for you to choose from. It’s a pity I’m limiting it to three goals, because there’s at least half a dozen that could’ve been featured. Nevertheless, here are, in order of toughness of the scorer’s FIFA World Cup preliminary group (Yes, that’s my discretion, jog on.), the candidates for this week.
IRENEUSZ JELEN (Auxerre) was on the recieving end of a great ball from Pedretti and on the supplying end of a perfect lob over Roche.
STÉPHANE BRISON (Nancy) owes his spot here to Dia, who made a joke of half the Lille squad before serving an unmissable ball to the Frenchman.
BOUDEWIJN ZENDEN (Marseille) found space and delivered a sensational left-footed strike just inside the near post.

Talk about earning an assist. That setup was beautiful by Dia.
