Cissé to Marseille for 4 years?

By: Sam | November 1st, 2006

French international striker Djibril Cissé, on loan to Olympique de Marseille from Liverpool for the remainder of the year, could be dealt to the french club this summer. Currently nursing his broken leg, the giant rich-and-not-afraid-to-show-it extraordinaire expects to be back in action for the slumping OM within a few weeks.

The 24-year old boy who had attracted everyone’s attention while playing in Auxerre a few years back, snapped a bone in his leg in a friendly match against China in preparation for the World Cup. The injury happened mere days after the deal between the two clubs was established. The video is below

A definite plus to the southern club due not only to his deadly shot but also his aura of flamboyancy that surrounds him. A four-year contract would bring the club a better reputation and would no doubt help them gain a Champions League spot that has eluded them for a few seasons now.

Man, Cisse has had the WORST luck. It’s like the universe doesn’t want him to play football, or something.

(Thanks for stopping by the Italian corner of this little world, btw — I appreciate it!)
