Représente ta ligue: Toulouse sees Red, Marseille to see Red, Lyon to Dance with Death, Lens Pwn in UEFA Cup

Okay, first off, 4-0? Ouch. That’s embarassing. I’ll let Brian at the Liverpool Offside tell you more about it here.
Now! The draw for the Champions League group stage was held today, and there’s much to say about where our two favourite competitors Lyon and Marseille have been thrown.
Marseille have a tough but manageable group with Liverpool, the obvious favourite, Porto, the solid Pot 2-er, and Besiktas (sorry for the lack of Turkish spelling), the Turkish question mark.
Lyon, on the other hand, will have to cope with injuries while fending off the stackeder-than-stacked Barcelona (Henry, Ronaldinho, Eto’o, Messi, Giovani), the Bundesliga champs Stuttgart, and the souped-up Rangers.
Lyon is in good enough position to advance, but man, what a tough group.
In happier news, Jean-Pierre Papin got his coaching job off to a dream start today, when his Lens boys blew Young Boys Berne out of the water, 5-1. After a draw in the first leg, thanks to goals from Carrière, Feindouno, Akalé and a brace from Aruna Dindane. The draw for the first round of the competition will be held soon.
